The Curtice Brothers win the Great Taste Award

Second time in a row.

The Great Taste Award, the world's most coveted food prize, which honours the best food and drink, has announced the winners for 2019.

Out of more than 12,772 products, our ketchup received another Great Taste Award. The jury described our product as exceptionally tasty:

"The taste of the tomatoes is very distinct, fresh in taste and has a nice texture. It is pleasantly balanced due to the low salt and sugar content... “

"This ketchup has a rustic taste of tomatoes and is authentic and fresh. The salt content, sweetness and acidity work well together... “

Over 500 of the most discerning food critics, chefs, restaurateurs and producers, as well as a long line of food journalists, sit on the Great Taste Award jury.

Christoph Callies, co-founder and product designer, feels "once again honored and encouraged to receive this award for the second time in a row" - "We knew nothing about ketchup or sauce cooking in general when we started this project. But a little bit of luck and enthusiasm for cooking has allowed us to create a product that has impressed even the most prestigious customers like Claridge's in Mayfair. We are currently expanding our product line and next year we will be putting more creations through the ultimate test by the Great Taste Award jury.

Mario C. Bauer, co-founder and managing director says "We are the alternative to industrial ketchup for every restaurateur and hotelier who defines himself by quality and therefore refuses to serve his steak or burger with ordinary ketchup, as many others do. "Our ketchup is completely organic, cooked in Tuscany from fresh tomatoes - not from concentrate - and contains only half as much sugar and salt as the average ketchup".
