"Pasta Shutta"
I grew up in an inn in Zillingdorf (Lower Austria) and my grandma always has "Pasta-Schutta" for us and our guests - that's what she called the Pasta Asciutta in her dialect.
This is her recipe adapted from her grandson's Curtice Brothers sauce:
- Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Peel and chop the root vegetables as well. Fry the vegetables in a pot with olive oil.
- Now add the minced meat and also roast it well. Season with salt, pepper and oregano. Stir in the Curtice Brothers Sauce.
- Cover and let everything stew for about 40 minutes. In the meantime cook the spaghetti al dente. Season the sauce with basil. Arrange the pasta on plates, pour the sauce over it and finish with grated parmesan.
Tastes like Grandma's.
And she would be so proud of us...
