Lentils Bolognese

If you are looking to eat more plant-based meals, lentils are often the popular option. They are rich in protein and fiber, easy to cook and goes really well as a gravy-rich dish. This lentils bolognese recipe is something that you can definitely add to your weekly recipe rotation!

Lentils Bolognese


□ 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
□ ¼ of a red onion, finely chopped
□ 1 clove of garlic, crushed
□ ½ carrot,  peeled and chopped
□ 100 gr of cooked lentils
□ 1/2 a piccolo of Curtice Brothers Organic Ketchup
□ 200 gr of chopped tomatoes, from a can
□ 30 ml of water
□ Salt, black pepper, oregano
□ 120 gr of cooked fresh  tagliatelle


1. In a hot pan, add vegetable oil and start by frying the onions and garlic for a minute
2. Add in carrots and cook for another 2 minutes
3. Now add in cooked lentils and mix nicely for another minute
4. Add ketchup, mix well, and add in chopped tomatoes and water
5. When the sauce has thickened - season with salt, black pepper and oregano
6. Add in the cooked tagliatelle, mix evenly until the noodles are well coated
