Spicy Shrimp Skewers and Green Salad

BBQ season is here and you will appreciate this Spicy Shrimp Skewers and Green Salad recipe that is both juicy and flavourful! Marinated prawns covered in a light spicy sauce, these grilled prawns goes really well with a simple green salad and a fresh summer beverage!



  • 8 tiger prawns


  • 2 tbsp of Curtice Brothers Chili Ketchup
  • 1 tsp of soy sauce
  • 1 clove of garlic, finely diced
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of dried oregano
  • 1 tsp of olive oil


  • Mixed leaves
  • Carrots, cut into thin strips
  • Red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • Cherry tomatoes, cut into quarters
  • Peanuts
  • Sesame seeds
  • Parsley

Salad Dressing:

  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar
  • A pinch of salt
  • Fresh lemon wedges


  1. Marinade the prawns for about 30 minutes
  2. Meanwhile, prepare salad and dressing, set aside
  3. Skewer the prawns and grill them for 3-4 minutes on each side
  4. Serve on top of the fresh salad
  5. Sprinkle with parsley, chopped peanuts and sesame seeds
